Plan now for January Tree Care
November 22, 2013
Have you signed up for our bi-weekly e-newsletter? If so, then you already know that even though we are more than a month away from the New Year, now is the time to plan your January oak tree pruning.
Why are we encouraging you to think ahead about your beloved trees right now? February is often a month when we experience severe weather and ice storms. That makes January an ideal time to prune your trees! January is also an ideal time to prune oaks because once oak wilt spreading season starts up (February through June) we won't be able to prune your oak trees.
Here are other tree maintenance tasks we can help you with in January:
- Horticultural & Dormant Oil Application to control scale and other insects
- Basework (exposing the root flare)
- Mistletoe removal
- Gutter Cleaning
- Tree Planting
Don’t miss your opportunity for January tree maintenance. Also, be sure to sign up for our e-newsletter here. You’ll receive info & reminders on caring for your trees right to your inbox.
