Safe Road Lane Closures for Tree Care
April 3, 2018
If you are a city dweller, you probably know the benefits that trees bring. From reducing noise to aiding storm water run-off to adding value to our homes and neighborhoods, trees can help make city life much more pleasant. But being smack dab in the concrete jungle can pose some issues when it comes to taking care of trees along busy roadways. Here at Preservation Tree, we take the safety of every team member very seriously.
Training sessions and classes, as well as tailgate meetings, are always a big priority so we can keep up with the latest in safety measures. Recently, our attention was focused on lane closure tactics and how to properly implement them. We always want to assure the safety of our tree care workers, the traveling public, and your property.
The lane closure safety course included classroom-style instruction as well as real world practice. Arborists and crew members took an in-depth course on safe work zone plans when traffic lanes have to be closed to motorists, cyclists, or pedestrians. Folks from locally-owned Buyers Barricades helped coach us through all the safety details.
Most of our work does not include traffic control. But if the trees you care about are located near heavily utilized roadways, you can rest assured that Preservation Tree Services is trained to handle it in the safest way possible.
