The on-site crew was friendly, courteous & professional. Safety was obviously a high priority. We saw the entire crew crosscheck each rigging & safety point & then jointly monitor each major operation. We will use Preservation again.” ” - Scott W.

Ask an Arborist: What is Tree Cabling?

Q: How does cabling trees not hurt the trees?

063 Silhouette Tree Cables

A: Obviously, we would rather not have to drill into the vascular tissue of any tree.

However, there are times when a particular tree's structure lends itself to failure due to fault lines or included bark - or both - between co-dominant stems. In those instances, the risk of failure far outweighs the minor damage that hardware like cables and rods will cause in comparison to the additional structural support that hardware can provide.
