Preservation Tree Services Celebrates 20 Years Serving Dallas-Fort Worth

Trees are an integral part of lives and the urban environment. They beautify our landscape, clean our air, provide much needed shade and provide shelter and sustenance for wildlife. We’ve made keeping trees healthy and beautiful our passion for 20 years! 2015 marks Preservation Tree Services’ 20th year preserving, protecting, pruning and caring for your trees in the DFW area. Throughout this year, we’ll be celebrating our customers and their trees with special events, unique partnerships and an appearance at Earth Day Texas and more. It all began with a passion for our trees and environment.

In 1995, Harold Spiegel, a Dallas local with a passion for preserving, planting and nurturing trees, started Preservation Tree Services. He had a particular concern about how trees were managed during construction; since then he has worked extensively with both residential and commercial construction companies, contractors and architects to ensure the safety and longevity of trees on established properties. Over the years, Harold has continued his study of trees to include a Bachelor of Science degree in botany and chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University and additional academic work in landscape design and construction.

Because serving our community is so important to us, we believe in staying educated in the most up-to-date, conscientious tree care techniques. To ensure that your trees receive the best care various members of our staff hold degrees in urban forestry, plant pathology and botany. Oak wilt is one of the most devastating diseases to hit trees in our area. Because of this, our certified arborists are also oak wilt certified. To keep your oak trees safe during pruning and maintenance, we are required to stay current on information that will help your established and new specimens in top health.

To keep current with state-of-the-art pruning techniques and pest and disease control, we partner with companies such as Oncor and Arborjet for continual education. How does this benefit you? When our certified arborists and their crews are working on your trees, you know that your trees are in the most capable hands. We feel strongly about the environment and will always try our hardest to choose methods that most benefit your trees and use the least amount of chemicals.

You are our most important partner! You are the best steward of your trees…so we count on you to keep an eye on things when we’re not on your property! We want you to be as educated as you can about proper tree care; that’s why we spend time publishing our blog every week and engaging on social media. Stop by the blog to learn more about trees and chat with us at our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Urban Forestry

In 2015 we will be expanding our Urban Forestry Services. What is Urban Forestry? It is understanding how trees improve our lives and how we can document and care for city trees. An urban environment filled with healthy trees has better air quality, more beautiful green space, habitat for wildlife and so much more. We discuss Urban Forestry at length here. How could a Tree Risk Assessment Evaluation, Tree Inventory or Management Plan Development benefit your commercial or residential property? Read details about our Urban Forestry Services here.

We hope to meet many of our customers and residents at various events throughout this year. We’re looking forward to our next 20 years of service!
